Good news, after a long 5 days of trying to get code to work right, I finally came up with a layout I liked and the Extra Media section is back up and running nicely. I'll be adding some more stuff throughout this month. You may notice you can't download all the songs (bsides and stuff), it's illegal for us to give them out, because you can buy them online. Stop trying to rip off Green Day, support your favorite band and buy the music online if you want it. Updates are kinda slow, me and Courtney are coming up now on our finals for school, so we haven't been doing too much on GDA. Give me a few days and I'll update the video section as well.

There is a pretty interesting article here for you to check out. "Home Depot Center takes the Grammy winners off its list of banned acts drafted after rowdy Deadheads besieged neighborhood." The show last night in Manchester, NH was incredible. That show was, hands down, the best show I have ever seen. I was happy that they played a few older songs as well. That venue was quite stubborn when it came to cameras. Even after I was successful in sneaking in a camera, I saw several people get thrown out for taking pictures, so I didnt want to risk it. It was really nice that the weather held off for the day so we didn't wait in the rain. Thanks to those of you that did come up and say hi. Note to those of you seeing Green Day shortly: If you have a general admission tickets, please realize that you are in a Green Day pit, and expect to be shoved around and pushed. You don't need to go into the mosh itself, but expect to be pushed around. I was getting irritated with people turning around to me and telling me to stop pushing, because the whole pit is getting shoved around, and everyone is getting pushed. Its not one person. If you want to be in general admission and not get shoved, then you should get tickets to Avril Lavigne.

MTVU, MTV's college network, has awarded Green Day an Honorary Degree. Watch Green Day's acceptance speech and words of wisdom to the Class of 2005 right here, before it airs on MTVU. Make sure you check it out, because it's pretty funny and Tre's hair is sick. Also, see that Simple Plan Mastercard ad at the bottom of this page? If you're awesome you'll click on that, and check out what they have to offer, because it helps GDA. Yes, it's Simple Plan, but the other choices were Clay Aiken and Xhibit, which one would you have picked? Thank you all for your support and patience with me the last week or so. A reminder for you: If you chat with someone online that claims to be Green Day, don't believe them. There are so many fakes out there it's disgusting. Greetings everyone! Yes, the Pittsburgh concert on Saturday was fun, despite the fact that I got kicked in the face. Getting lost like 10 times and the 8 hour drive was worth it. Pittsburgh is officially the most confusing city I've ever been to. Thanks to everyone who came up and talked to me and Andres, or to our "PR Director", my friend Marie. We gave out about 100 stickers, and the radio station said they were going to say something about GDA, anyone hear it? I'm pretty sure it was KROCK in Pittsburgh. Anyway. That's my picture you see to the right, we were pretty close. I've got a ton of great pictures, but I'm not going to post them just yet because I love to hold Andres in suspense. I heard a lot of cool stories from people who went to the Atlantic City, NJ show on Sunday night. I got some pictures at Getty Images from that show. They are posted on this page.

Hey everyone, I just got back from Pittsburgh about 30 minutes ago. The show last night was amazing, just simply amazing. They played a few songs from A.I. but included older stuff from Dookie, Insomniac, and Nimrod. At the end end of the show, after Time of Your Life, Billie played the first verse to Who Wrote Holden Caufield. It got our hopes up for the entire song, but he stopped there and said good night. It was the most fun I've ever had...ever. I'll write a full review of the show after we get some pictures back. It was great to meet those of you that came up and talked to us. Actually, it kinda scared me when I heard people behind me saying my name, but I really did enjoy meeting all of you. There were magazines before the show for sell that had some Green Day articles. We bought one, and Courtney is gonna scan it sometime and put it up. I got an email from Warner today confirming that Green Day's music will NOT be in the new Batman movie. I've been getting lots of email asking about putting up 'Steven's Untitled Rock Show' for download. I can't, I dont have Fuse here in my dorm, so i can't capture it. If you have Fuse, you can watch the interview with Green Day on that show tomorrow at 4pm EST. [ FUSE ]

Well I have a few more articles for you guys to read. Here is an article about the Miami, Florida show. Now for some GDA news. I have closed the chat room temporarily, and would like to point out that we do have rules to the chat room. They are simple, and as long as you aren't a dick, you should have no problems. Let me quote one rule: "Be nice to each other. Don't go in here just to mess around or pick on anyone. If we get any complaints about you, we will kick you out immediately. If you are reported twice you will be banned from both the chat and GDA entirely. NO EXCEPTIONS." That doesn't seem to hard too follow. EDIT: I have reopened the chat room.

I got a url for myspace, myspace.com/andres_gda. We've setup a photo gallery for the graphics that Ness & Louis make for the graphics request. There's only a few in there now, we are still building that up. You can check out the gallery and vote on the pictures we have up now. ONE MORE TIME: Don't leave pointless stuff in the comments. They are for people to comment on the news, they aren't supposed to be used as a tagboard. On that note, stop asking for the tagboard, we aren't putting it back up. Greetings friends. I have articles for you to read. There is a small article in People Magazine about Green Day partying after thier SNL performance at Manhattan's Rock Candy club with some other celebrities. Read the article here. Although Blender has GREEN DAY printed on their cover, the article is probably something you have seen before. It's about the kid from Britain who woke up from the coma. Read the article here. In case you didn't know, I have a huge grudge against Blender. Green Day is one of the biggest rock bands in the world right now, and they insist on leaving them out of almost every issue. Feel free to send a letter to the editor and tell them how much they need to put Green Day in the magazine. American Idiot is the best album in the past four years! Read all about it at The Tartan. Just a reminder, since I'm getting a ton of e-mails about it, Billie Joe and Mike will be on Steven's Untitled Rock Show on Fuse TV on April 25, 2005. One more thing, I have an extra floor ticket to the Pittsburgh, PA show on Saturday, April 23rd. I'd hate to see this ticket go to waste, so if anyone needs an extra, contact me and let me know how much you'll pay for it. Since I'm leaving Friday morning for the show, please don't contact me after 8PM EST on Thursday, April 21st. If you don't hear from me, I guess you didn't get the ticket. Sorry.

Hello people in GDA Land. An article from MTV.com has come out with more info about the Wake Me Up video. The video, as we said last week, was directed by Sam Bayer (same as the other 3 news vids), this video is a lot more serious and much more elaborate than the others. Here's an article about Green Day playing along side Snoop Dog and a few other American Bands for an Irish festival in July. For those of you that have yet to see the new Holiday video, head on over the Official Green Day Site, they have all the videos from Walking Contradiction to the new Holiday video up for stream in thier Videos section. I've put up a new poll along with the results of the old one. Let's try this again, the comments beneath each news posts are only for new posts. Thanks for everyone who said kind things to us for the other news post which I just deleted. I figure I might as well give you guys some real news. We got a diagram up of Tre's drums, so you can see what kind he has and where. Thanks for Andrew for making and sending that into us. You can check that out on the equipment page or just click here. Here's a place that has the SNL performances up to watch. Just scroll a wee bit down on that page for that video, and a couple others. Once again, I've updated the videos page. Lots of you have been asking about that TRL episode in Germany where Billie Joe made out with some dude. Well, it's up for download now, it's pretty crappy quality, but you can hear and see them. Another common question is, "Who will be opening up for Green Day for the fall stadium shows?"Answer: I have no flipping idea. As soon as we found out who will be touring with them, don't worry, we'll let you guys know on here. Finally, I want to send a HUGE thanks for all of you who have been able to donate to GDA. I posted up a list of people on the donate page. Once again, thank you guys, it really does mean a lot that you guys help me and Courtney out with GDA. On just a smaller note, I would like to say thanks also to all of you visitors for making GDA so popular. As of yesterday, our daily average of individual visitors has reached about 37,000 people. There's an interview with Billie Joe and Mike about the tour on ET, which airs on both VH1 and MTV. Check your local listings for times. Also reguarding VH1, Holiday is currently at #10 and Boulevard of Broken Dreams is at #7 on the Top 20 Countdown. Billie Joe was voted the #1 (out of 50) Sexiest People in Rock, according to Kerrang. Check out the actual scan here. Billie Joe says, "Me? Sexy? Wow! I'm flattered! Personally I thought Tre was sexier! Thanks everyone!" News from GreenDay.com: Green Day in Gothenburg, Paris Green Day will be playing the Scandinavium in Gothenburg on July 3rd. Tickets go on sale April 22nd at Ticnet. Good news for Green Day fans living in Los Angeles -- a second stadium tour date has been added to the Home Depot Center (October 9, 2005). In regards to tour dates, the tour page has been updated with newly added shows. Also updated were the autographs page and articles page, all of which has been sitting in my mailbox from GDA visitors for months. Thank you for your patience. I still didn't get to put everything up yet, so don't be concerned if you sent me something recently and it's not there. In case you're totally missing GDA's video download page, you can now download TRL and Storytellers (American Idiot). Andres should be putting up the next Storytellers installment, Jesus of Suburbia, tomorrow night. You can also download TRL from the Official Green Day Website if you please. Green Day was on "Steven's Untitled Rock Show" which will air April 25th on Fuse: check out their site for more info. Everyone in the UK, news from GDUK says that VH2 will be airing Green Day's Storytellers April 17th. We also confirmed that Sam Bayer also directed the Wake Me Up... video that has yet be given a release date. As you may recall, Sam also directed the other three videos from this album. Nothing else much in Green Day news yet, just don't forget, this Friday (4/15) the next American Idiot tour starts here in America. If your going to a show, and are able to get a camera in, be sure to send in your pics with a review of the concert here to GDA. I do have some GDA updates for you guys. I fixed all the code yesterday, so everything on the site should be working. If you come across a dead link or an error page, contact us so we can fix it. I've put up American Idiot (the song) from Storytellers up for download in the Videos section, along with the TRL visit and the "Haunted" clip again. omgmattsbackomg. Hey everyone. I've been around, just not really updating 'cause Andres, Tyke, and Courtney have seemed to be holding down the fort quite nicely. But, we've got some news that I just must share. Wake Me Up When September Ends...video! Er, well, not the actual video, but proof it's pretty much finished. I heard a release of sometime in May. No idea who the director is though, hopefully it's Sam, though the screenshots don't look like his style, persay, but we'll see.  Anyway, click here or go through the Picture Vault, to get to the WMUWSE video page, with all 4 released screenshots on it. Oh oh oh, also, I hope everyone caught SNL this past Saturday. Hello Green Day fans around the world, how are you all doing today? I just got back to my dorm from a weekend visit to my parents. I got here to find just over 180 emails from you guys about the video section. Let me make my point here instead of replying to you all. The Video Section will be down for a few more days!! On Friday, we tried sharing the entire Storytellers show with 3,000 of our newsletter subscribers. This caused the GDA server to crash, so as soon as it came back up, I stopped all video downloads. No, we will not be putting the entire Storytellers back online, we will however post one or two songs a week from the show. Also, don't email us asking to email you the videos, we won't. As Courtney said, I missed the SNL video, so I won't have it for you guys to download. If someone recorded it on VHS or DVD, please email me if you can send a copy to GDA for me to put online. Give me at least 1 or 2 more days to get everything straightend out and I will bring the video section back with the TRL download and "Haunted". Thanks for understanding, check back tomorrow for more news. In the meantime, here's an article about Green Day being on a "banned list" for one of the arena's they are currently booked to play for.

Hey guys. I hope every caught Green Day on Saturday Night Live last night. Their performance was awesome. I know that Mike and Billie Joe did an appearence on Steven's Untitled Rock Show, which is on Fuse TV. They taped the appearence on April 8, 2005. Unfortunatly, I haven't been able to find any information on when the show will be premiered. Billie Joe wrote an article about the Sex Pistols in Rolling Stone Magazine. Read the article here. Thanks to everyone who sent me information/scans of the vinyl. Also, the video downloads are currently offline. The downloads were slowing down the server, so we had to take them down. TRL may be made available again later on today, but that's really up to Andres. Remember, he handles all the videos. Keep checking back with GDA throughout the day for more updates!

Here's an article about Green Day "leaving Cartoon Punk tag behind". This afternoon GD will be on TRL (USA), the show starts at 5pm eastern. If I'm not in class, I'll capture the show and post it up in the next couple days. Green Day will be playing Boulevard of Broken Dreams & Holiday on Saturday Night Live this week, so I thought I'd put up another video for download in the video section, this one of them playing SNL in 1994. I've updated the Tour page, and I also cleaned out the news here. Anything we posted before March 25 was added to the news archives. I've been getting lots of emails about the chat room. Some people seem to have a problem with wanting to read, so I'll keep this news post to the point. First off, thanks to all of you for being so patient in getting the site back up. It is running a bit slow, but that problem should be fixed today. Green Day won a Juno (kinda like a Grammy, except from Canada) for International Album Of The Year. Don't forget tomorrow Green Day will be on MTV's TRL. KROQ (radio) is having a competition for people to win a chance to go on tour for a week with Green Day, more info here. There's some news on GreenDay.net about an ad that was taken down because the Hotel doesn't agree with what Green Day stands for. Check it out. LiveDaily.com has this article about the new fall stadium gigs. As for GDA news: Courtney has updated the Articles Page with some new scans. I have put up a new video for download in the Video Section, and I also got all the Fan Music up and working again. The chat room and extra media will be back really soon I hope. After having two weeks of fan of the week entries, I have chosen the new fan of the week. Congratulations to Katie. For those of you who are applying, I am much more likely to chose the mature applications. The GDA forum is also back up for those of you who have missed that. Andres will be updating the new video download, and that should be available tomorrow. As Courtney mentioned, I do have two floor tickets to the 4/29 show in Manchester, NH and will be sending the link for those when I get them up online. I have recieved several emails about them already, and have decided I will leave them for auction. We know lots of you write essays about Green Day and punk music. We are working on a new section for you guys to send in your papers so others can read. If you have any papers on Green Day, punk, or rock n roll you'd like to share, send them to Andres. Don't worry, we'll make sure people don't steal your work. One of the GDA Fan Music bands (Class Clown) will be going on a fairly large tour around the eastern part of the United States this summer. You can listen to them here. If they are coming to one of your cities, you should be sure to check them out. Keep checking for the updated list here. Be sure to check out this article about the tour. WELCOME BACK EVERYONE! GDA is finally up and running on our new server. It was a pain, but we'd like to thank you all for your patience. And now for the Green Day news, there is a TON. First of all, Green Day was featured on VH1's Storytellers this weekend. The show is excellent, so if you missed it, be sure to click here and see when it will be played again. VH1 has also been playing Ultimate Albums: Dookie, which is a great documentary about Green Day's early days. 
Green Day has been featured in a few magazines in the past few days. They were on the cover of the UK's Q Magazine, as well as some blurbs were in Teen People, J14, and Tiger Beat. Congratulations to the guys, who won the award for "Favorite Music Group" at the 18th Annual Kid's Choice Awards on Nickelodeon. And did anyone notice that the guitar player from Simple Plan had the American Idiot hand on his guitar? I'm sure you did. Get your VCRs ready again, Green Day will be at MTV's TRL on Thursday, April 7th. Keep voting for Holiday, click here. TRL's website also says that on Monday, April 4th, they will be "checking in with once and future tourmates Green Day and Simple Plan." Green Day will also be on Saturday Night Live on NBC, April 9th. Check your local listings for times. More award nominations for Green Day. They were nominated for 2 categories for Boulevard of Broken Dreams, at the 14th Annual MVPA Awards to be given in May. For everyone in the UK, Green Day are doing a live show / interview in LA on BBC Radio One on Tuesday, April 5th @ 9AM British Time. A few tour dates have been added. Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it! We can't do much updating here on GDA, because we're waiting for the DNS changes with the new server. This better be our last server change, or I'm going to scream. Here's a little bit of TV news for you, "Give Me Novacaine" was featured in an episode of NBC's ER. Also, on Thursday "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" became the first Green Day video to be retired from TRL. The "Holiday" video premieres tomorrow, Monday March 28th. So get ready to vote! Don't forget Green Day's episode of VH1's Storytellers airs on Saturday, April 2nd @ 10:00 EST. If you're a kid, you can cast your vote here. Also, I noticed when I was at Walmart that there is a Green Day "trading card" in the new issue of Nickelodeon magazine. If you see it, you might want to pick it up, it's similar to this picture. I didn't buy the magazine, simply because it would be a bit too weird for a 22 year old to be buying a kid's magazine. By the way, there's a new official Green Day UK site, GreenDayUK.net. Now why don't you people tell me this stuff? I don't live in the UK ya know!
