Today we will be moving to our ever bigger server. This server switch will once again allow us to host media files for everyone that visits. After the server switch is done, we will no longer be using, www.gdamusic.com for our media, rather everything will just run straight from GDA. The chat room will be up and down today as we work on moving it over to our new server. Hey everyone. I hope everyone had a nice first day of spring. It was rainy and cold here. Anyway. Billie Joe is on the cover of a Japanese magazine called Crossbeat (March 2005). I'm trying to get my hands on a copy of it, so I can get the scans to you guys, but so far I had no luck since I can't read the pages to order it. If anyone has the scans, or can get me the magazine, I'd appreciate it. If you can read japanese writing, click here to visit the site that sells it. Hello GDAers, how the hell have you all been? Did you guys miss me this past week, I'm betting you didn't even know I was gone. A lot of you have been emailing us asking if you could donate to GDA by sending in cash instead of PayPal. I've setup a donate page so you guys can get the address to send us donations through the mail. The tabs will be up later today (I hope) with American Idiot guitar and bass tabs. Are you guys excited for the upcoming tour? You better be dammit!! Just a couple more weeks and Green Day comes back from overseas to start off the next American Idiot US Tour. Don't forget Courtney and I are going to the Pittsburgh show April 23, so if your going don't be shy, come up and talk to us. We should more than likely be wearing some GDA hoodies, thats still more than a month away though. That Fender Strat autographed by Green Day is now at $4,050. If you have more than that you should buy it cause it kicks ass. Hey everyone. First of all, thanks a lot to everyone who donated to GDA. It really means a lot of us. Just a reminder, the Holiday video is now available for download on Yahoo's LAUNCH. As many of you are aware, our server has been off and on for the past several days. Because of this, we will be changing to a new server. The new server will cost $190 per month, and we really need your help. If any of you would be willing to help out and save us from draining all that money from our pockets, you can donate here. I know that many of you GDA nerds come here everyday and can afford to donate a few dollars and help us out. Secondly, in the event that the server does go down again, you can join the newsletter. This way you can continue to recieve all of the news updates even if the server does go down.

Still no new Green Day news within the past few days. The Concert Reviews were updated, Thanks to everyone who sent a review in. Also, the GDA Tabs section will be up in a couple days. As said before, we don't have many tabs yet, but it's a working progress. You will need Adobe Reader to view the tabs. It's free, just download it. We have been having difficulties recently due to the amount of hits the site has been getting, but our server should stay up now. Unfortunately, once again we had to take down the media section because it was overwhelming our server. We may be asking for donations later this week to help us pay to get ANOTHER server. We apologize for the downtime, but as you can imagine it's not easy trying to keep up a big site with so many visitors coming here.

Hey guys. Nothing much has gone on as far as Green Day news in the past few days, but I have a complusive disorder, and I need to update GDA regardless. I have about 100 Fan Arts sitting and waiting for me to add to the page this weekend, and quite frankly, I don't think I can add that many. So I hate to do it, but I'm going to become more selective with the fan art, because of the overwhelming response, I can only post a few. It's too time consuming for me to post that many works of art. Sorry, I hope you all understand. I mean, you guys really don't want me to spend my entire weekend posting fan art, do you? That's what I thought. Anyway, since there's no news, I'll share some of my pictures that I got from the Sydney, Australia show. I uploaded them into my Photobucket, so click here. Hello my GDA Land cult followers. Today I come with no Green Day news. However, I'm going to be taking a 'break' from GDA for a couple weeks. A good friend, Tyke, is gonna do my work on GDA for me while I'm on 'break'. Well, it's not really a break, I'm just not going to be working on the actual website. I'm going to be spending my time working on the GDA DVD and CD orders. I just wanted to come on and let you guys know that we finally have confirmation that the Holiday video officially releases on LAUNCH on March 15th. Look for it to be also be on GreenDay.com. GDA just got in an interview with Green Day from yesterday on a Sydney Radio show. It's already up in the Extra Media section. It's about six and half minutes long and it's pretty good. A big thanks to Paul for sending it to us. Green Day played last nights Australian MTV Awards. If anyone has the video, please contact us, media@greendayauthority.com. Not too much else going on, so below are a few articles for you guys to read.

Not to much GD news yet. Green Day is now in Australia and have a couple upcoming shows there and New Zealand. Here's an article about how the tickets for this upcoming tour are selling out really fast in Canada, then again thats happening all over as well. If you haven't got your tickets, you better hurry and get some if there are any left through Ticketmaster, because if not you have to buy them through ebay, where they are selling for around 200 bucks a ticket, compared to Ticketmaster's $35-$50. The GDA Chat Room will be up today at 2 P.M. Mountain Time (4PM EST, 1PM PST). It will stay up, so you don't have to worry about it being shut down again. Now for the bad news, I will not tolerate anyone being rude to another member or moderator. If reported you you will get one warning, if get reported again you will automatically be banned. Not only from the chat, from the entire GDA site. Just be nice, and you can stay. The GDA DVD is still looking good to be shipped off in two weeks. So far I've had no problems, and plan on having it done for those that pre-ordered. I will post up a list of videos that will be included mid to late next week. If you ordered the GDA Video CD and have not recieved it, I have shipped out all orders as of today. If you do not get your order by next Wednesday(3/9), email orders@greendayauthority.com and we'll get back to you promptly. Finally, any of you in the Baltimore area. Ballyhoo!, is playing an 'All Ages' show at Fetcher's March 4th (friday) starting at 8pm. If you can make it, I really suggest you do. You can listen to Ballyhoo! on GDA's Fan Music section. That section will also be updated tomorrow with some new bands.

Hello my fellow friends in GDA Land. Just a few minor things for today.
First off, here are a couple articles to read:
Green Day has been climbing up on the MTV TRL charts. We don't usually post this stuff, because we all know Green Day is better than anyone there. Finally, I've contacted a few places, but anyone out there who can help me and Courtney get backstage passes to the concert we are going to (April 23 Pittsburgh) should email us at webmasters@greendayauthority.com so we can meet the band. Please don't email us asking us to get you passes. If we don't even know how we can get ourselves any, we can't reply to you and get you some either. We have one rule generally spread across GDA. If you visit GDA, that means your a pretty big fan, if your a big fan you should be able to spell their name correctly. Just remember when your applying for Fan of the Week or contacting us, their name is Green Day. Two words, not one. One last thing, I beg of you that are using the chat room to be nice to each other. There is no reason what-so-ever that you guys should be rude to each other. I'm going to quote someone from our forum, "We are all one big family and we should be lookin out for one another..."

I'm getting overwhelmed with how much Fan Art is submitted, so I have to set limitations so everyone gets a fair shot at having their art posted. CALLING ALL GREEN DAY/ROCK MUSIC FANS IN NORTHEASTERN PA, DE, AND NJ: This morning, I was driving to work, and I turned on my favorite rock radio station, Y100, only to find out that rock music was replaced with hip hop crap! This afternoon, I found out from another Philadelphia station WMMR that Radio One decided to pull the plug on Y100! For anyone who has listened to this radio station, you have to know that it always played great rock music, had awesome live shows, had Green Day take over the station, and they also did a lot for charities. Green Day is up against Destiny's Child, Black Eyed Peas, & Outcast for 'Favorite Music Group' on the Kid's Choice Awards. How this happend I have no idea. But oh well, you guys can see a list of all nominee's here Also, I've updated the list of shows that are on the GDA Video CD that is for sale. See the list here. Here's an update on the GDA DVD. I know it's been a long time in the works, but I will admit I took off a bigger bite than I could chew. I've had nearly every problem you can think of in the process of making this DVD, from my computer crashing, to buying software only to realize it was literally broken in half. But everything is working now, and I'm finally able to create the DVD's. The easiest thing I found out would be to make two DVD's. Each DVD having one full concert and individual songs and performances to fill up the rest of the DVD. Those of you that pre-ordered will get 3 DVD's, the first DVD being of the new videos, 'Making the Album', the MTV Diary, and depending how much space I have left, a couple other videos. If you did not pre-order when I first took orders last year, you cannot order now. You will just have to wait till the DVD comes out. Which brings me to my final thing. Im trying to get this DVD done now. I have a couple more shows to capture, then sort it all out, make the Master DVD's (the menu's and stuff like that) and my goal is to have the Pre-Orders out the second week of March, hopefully. That is if everything goes according to plan, I'll keep you updated. The DVD will then go on sale 4 weeks after that to everyone else.

In a recent short interview with ContactMusic.com they asked Billie Joe what he'd do or say if he got to meet President Bush, he replied, "The first thought that came into my brain was  like, I'd like to choke him." There is some stuff on sale on e-Bay for Grammy Charity Auction, they are selling one item for Green Day right now. An autographed piece of the 'Green Carpet' from the 47th Grammy Awards, current bid is just over 500 dollars. Check it out I've updated the Fan of the Week! So it's there, the one I put up is just under 6MB, a little bit better quality than the first one.

Great news for those of you who would like to use Firefox, Mozilla, or Netscape on GDA. I was up a few extra hours tonight straighting out all the code, and all GDA pages now work for all three browers. You should finally be able to see all the text and backgrounds on all the pages now, and also all the "red" links on the news page. Nothing intresting yet in the Green Day news. Here's an article of some students from Binghamton University who complained to whoever's in charge because they couldn't get tickets to the GD show coming up there. For those of you in Canada, here's an article about one of the upcoming shows. I have a feeling I lost the MySpace competition mentioned below to Courtney. It's ok, she has been here longer. | 02.22.05 - lack of updates, here's a ton |

Ok, we haven't updated in a couple days. Let me clear up a few things first. One, do not email us asking us for tour dates. The tour schedule is filled up already for this tour. Second, the tagboard has been taken down because the company that runs it, shut down for a couple days, and it was causing GDA to load slowly. I wont be putting it back up for a while because I got tired of baby-sitting everyone on there. Those of you on there have a bad habit ot picking fights with eachother, and I also got tired of banning people for posing as members from Green Day, and Courtney got tired of everyone emailing her about the tagboard problems. The tagboard will go back up whenever I feel like putting it back. Also the video downloads are down for a week or so. Reason being, the guy that let us host our video files on there ran out of bandwidth, he is trying to get more for us. Ok now I'm done bitching. Onto the good updates.
As we posted last week, Green Day was featured in NME magazine. We got the scans here at GDA, check them out below. (Thanks to Linz for them). I've updated the Extra Media Section. The new stuff inlucdes: Billie Joe Interview (when he was 5 yrs. old) , Too Much Too Soon , Governator , The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink. Check it out here. This isn't Green Day news, but I figured I'd post it for those of you that like Blink 182. Blink 182 has gone on 'indefinite hiatus' or in my opinion broke up with no current plans on getting back together. Haha, those damn losers. They couldn't handle punk rock for over 10 years, psh. Read more about it here and the official Blink page here. The new tab section will be up tomorrow. Since all the tabs are being written from scratch, it takes a while to build it up. Right now we have all the guitar tabs from American Idiot, and also we have the first 6 Bass Tabs, Drum Tabs & Guitar Tabs from Dookie, the tabbers are working on that section and we'll keep you posted when it's updated.

Hey guys. I just wanted to mention that I will be adding a ton more pictures to the The Grammys page Andres posted about earlier, I'll keep you updated. The Howard Stern show was doing a post-Grammy show today, and Howard reportly said "Green Day should have won ALL the awards they were nominated for! This is nonsense!". I never liked Howard Stern before, now I find myself becoming more fond of him. Thanks Michelle. One more thing, I'm getting really backed up on e-mails. So if I don't answer you for a few days, don't worry....I probably just didn't get to it yet. Please have patience with us. Oh, yeah.
