Hello my fellow Green Day fans. No Green Day news for today but we have site updates. We got our newsletter up and going. Everyone needs to Sign Up for it. Here we will send you updates on Green Day and GDA, if GDA goes down for some reason we will let you guys know through our newsletter. We will also have some contests and stuff just for people signed up for it. All you have to do is enter your email address. The media server is down. I don't have any money to pay for it, so it will be down till next month. That includes the chat room along with any media we have. Sorry guys, but it's getting more and more expensive to pay for the site, money I don't have. So i'll keep you guys updated.

Hello everyone, it's really early so not much news out yet. However if anyone has any pictures from the Billboard Awards performance you guys should send them to Courtney. I was able to capture the performance last night from Jay Leno. Download Here. I will be adding all these shows to the Videos page later on today. Also we are working on getting our newsletter back up and running. I've been testing stuff all night, and so far it's really cool. The newsletter will have some new stuff for you guys. Happy 32nd Birthday Tre from all GDA Staff. I finally got my new computer in, so I was able to capture the Billboard Awards performance and the VH1 performance. Right click the files and select "save target as".
Billboard Awards- Boulevard of Broken Dreams Don't miss another performance tonight, this one on Jay Leno on NBC. It starts at 11:35EST. I should be able to capture it. Billie Joe said that people have started writing scripts to turn A.I. into a movie. The single and music video for Holiday should be coming out sometime "after the holiday's" according to Billie Joe in this interview. So I imagine we should look forward for these around January. GDA will keep an eye out for them. He also stated that Green Day will be doing another US tour next summer. For those of us that didn't get to see em this time around, we can have next spring/summer. So lets all look forward to those dates being announced after the new year sometime. Also I finally got all the Extra's to work. So download away! Also, I know a lot of you are always looking for a place to put your images online for a forum or something. Well check out free-image-host.org. It was setup by our current host for you guys to use.

Well Green Day is very much in the media's spotlight again. We got some articles for you guys to read. And notice that GDA has all this news posted first!! The first article is from Billboard.com. The interview was taken last night with Mike at a rehearsal for the Billboard Awards, ""We're definitely working on a film based on the album,". Read more here. Don't forget to watch Green Day tonight on Fox at 8pm EST for the Billboard Awards. Read this article from gigwise.com about the new grammy nominations. As for site updates. I added some new stuff to the Extra's page. For some reason those songs don't work for everyone. Im trying to solve this issue. But it they work for you, enjoy. The new Fan Of The Week is Natalie Iles. We have selected our new tabbers. We want to welcome Bradley for Bass Tabs and Lance for Drum Tabs. Jason will be staying for guitar tabs. Sorry the site was down this morning. Just a small server glitch that got fixed right away, onto the news. VH1 aired Big in '04 last night. For those of you who missed it, Green Day did a pretty awesome show playing American Idiot with some pretty cool pyrotechnics (fireworks, for those of you). I will post up the video as soon as I get my new computer in, but if anyone comes across the perfomance online, email us. You guys and girls need to vote for Green Day. We dont want them to lose to some dumbass rapper or something.

Hey guys. It's an exciting day at GDA today. Andrew, the owner of greendaysite.net, formally Green Day Obsession, will be joining the GDA team. GDA now has 5 webmasters, a tabber (more to come), and a graphics person, so hopefully now we can keep up more with the site! Look for more information to come and hopefully with the merger a bigger, better, GDA!

We are on a mission to make GDA look better than ever before. So we have been updating and re-designing many pages throughout GDA. So, we added "Updated" to the top of the list on the right side. There you will see a list of all the pages we have updated recently, newest on top. I re-did the Videos section. So look at it, and get the videos you want. I also added a new Concert Review, it has some pictures from that show. I have taken down the giveaway, I have choosen the finalists and I will choose the winner in a couple days. There will be no more give aways till after the new year. I also choose the new GDA Bass Tabber, I will let you guys know more about him after I choose the drum tabber as well. Hello Green Day fans. As you may have noticed GDA lagged in the updates for a couple days, so we are making it up now. As for Green Day news, don't forget to watch VH1 this Sunday to catch Green Day on Big In '04, Click here for more info. We got in a couple pictures from that performace, here and here. Green Day is tearing up the charts in New Zealand, current American Idiot is Number 10 in the Top 100, and the American Idiot single is currently #7, an BOBD is expected to get a higher debut next week. Green Day will be playing in New Zealand March 5th next spring. Click here for more info.
Here in the US this is how Green Day stands right now: I have almost got a new bass tabber. But I still need more people to apply for drum tabs. Green Day will be playing for the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas, NV December 8th. read more here. News from GDUK:: For those of you in the UK you can watch "The Making of BOBD" this coming Friday (Dec 3rd) at 1:15am on Channel 4. We are still working away on GDA. I did not choose a winner for last weeks giveaway, so I will be holding another contest for the same Dookie Poster next week. I set up the rules for this giveaway for the Insomniac Poster. We want your pictures again, more info here. We added a feature for you fans to get some graphics. GDA's graphics designer, Ness, is going to be taking your individual requests. If you guys want a wallpaper, avatar, banner, or other things made for you (for free of course) click here or you can use the link called "GRAPHICS REQUEST" on the links directly to the left under "The Fan" to get some more info. I worked on the Media page. I added the b-sides along with a few extra songs in a section called Extra's. One last thing, We are going to be building up our tabs section, so I need two new tabbers. Well I'm back from visiting my parents. Hope everyone in the US had a fantastic Thanksgiving!! First off, if you guys want to watch the Jimmy Kimmel performance go here. I kinda worked on the GDA Store page. Well, we under-estimated the amount of bandwidth we needed for the forum. So it's down at the moment. Sorry it was only up for a day. But hopefully we can get it back before the end of the day. The price of our servers has nearly tripled because GDA has gotten A LOT more "famous". About 7,000 people come here everyday. I know some of you have a dollar to buy a sticker. Buy lots and lots of stickers, help us keep GDA up. You know what i think, i think you guys need the link one more time. BUY THE FUCKING STICKERS. Of course dont forget about the GDA Chatroom. I know some of you on AOL Internet, had some problems with the chat. Well, all you have to do is once you log into AOL internet, use Internet Explorer to get to the chat room. For some reason the AOL browser dont like that page. There ya go, you guys have so many ways to meet other Green Day fans, so DO IT!

Green Day is going to be performing on the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Show on December 9, 2004, which also happens to be Tré's birthday. Green Day is set to play at MTV's New Year's Eve Ball in New York, New York. Let's hope they don't have the same incident as they did in 1998, when Billie got really drunk and cursed on live TV. I got my issue of Blender Magazine in the mail today, and the headline reads "Top 100 Songs of 2004" and "Top 50 Albums of 2004". I was shocked to find that American Idiot got #68 on the top song list, Avril Lavigne even ranked higher with #62 and Britney Spears' Toxic was in the top 5! Green Day didn't even make it on the albums list. My question is, who the fuck is the genius that comes up with this list? What a fuckin' moron. Anyway, some Green Day news. Tre will be on the cover of this month's Drum Magazine. Aussie fans get the pleasure of having Green Day come to their country in March, along with Simple Plan. More info here. So I got an e-mail from a GDA Vistor, Logan, about Green Day action figures! He said he had picked one up at Spencer's Gifts (usually in malls). I went strolling over there myself today, and bought two of them, Billie Joe and Mike. I didn't have enough money for Tre. Click here to view a picture of them in the boxes. I will have a more detailed picture later. The figures are called "International Super Action Figures!", made by Stevenson Entertainment Group and Cinder Block, and will set you back about $15 each. I've read a few places that Green Day will pay playing Woodstock 2005 in Toronto, Canada. However, the official Woodstock website is down right now so I can't confirm that 100%. We'll keep you posted. Green Day will play 4 dates in Australia next March. They will be touring with Simple Plan, tickets go on sale December 3rd. For those of you in the UK, be sure to watch Green Day next Saturday (Nov 27) on ITV1, CD:UK. As you all know, Green Day was featured on the cover of the October 2004 issue of Alternative Press. This month, they have the letters in response to that issue. Well the wallpaper page was updated, there is a new poll and the side bars were evened up again. Thats about it for site updates so far. Also There is a chance that I, Ace, will be at the Green Day concert at the Long Beach Area on November 23rd. So you need to go here and vote for them, right now they are losing to Hoobastank. Just a reminder, Green Day will be playing on Jimmy Kimmel on ABC next Monday November 22. We got a review in for the New York (Irving Plaza) Club show with some pics. So go to the Concert Reviews. Hello everyone, got a bit of Green Day news and some more site updates. As for the Green Day news, the BOBD music video will be on TRL on November 29. And also Green Day will be playing along with Incubus, Good Charlotte, and many other bands for the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2004 concert. More info here. Green Day lost to Linkin Park for the MTV European Music Awards. So fooey on Linkin Park! Also we have scan from this weeks Kerrang. It has Billie Joe and the other Punk Voters: We have 2 winners for last weeks Giveaway. We got over 100 entries and it took over 2 hours to go through all of them and choose a winner. Ok. I dont know what the heck is Mozilla's problem, but I cannot fix the HTML and CSS code so that GDA is correctly viewable in Mozilla. I have been messing with the code and fixing and re-fixing the code and nothing has worked. I give up for now. My suggestion, Mozilla users, get the IE View extension for Mozilla. If I ever figure out what's wrong with the code, I will fix it A.S.A.P. Also, I re-aligned the side bars on both sides so they look better. I have a new email address. Alright, I only spent like 10 hours working on GDA. First of all, the chat is now working again. Here are the pages I updated.  Video Pictures Didja Know? Lots of updates flying around on GDA. First off I want you guys to meet our newest GDA Team Member, Ness. She's in charge of graphics, she made the new GDA Banner and she also just finished working on some pics for the Green Day bio's. Now onto the updates! I deleted the old streaming media, sorry if you guys were trying to access it. I totally re-designed it and moved it. I added the new Boulevard of Broken Dreams music videoalong with a couple other videos, into the new Media Section. Notice it's on the left navigation links under "THE MUSIC", it's called Media. So check it out We also updated more Concert Reviews. I know some of you have also had some problems with the GDA Radio working. Well Matt put a lot of workinto getting this up and running, and he has over 100 songs in rotation. So try it out, click here for more info.
