+ Hey everyone. Before I get started, I just want to wish my friend Susan a happy 21st birthday. :) I updated Fan of the Week so be sure to check that out. Also if you look on the right you'll see a small picture of GDA's working design. Click on it to make it bigger. I'm making some changes to the layout, to make it look more clean and more professional. Plus after so long, I think we're in need of a change. Look for it to debut by the middle of June, or maybe the end of June. It all depends on how much time I'll have being bored in class. :P

+ Happy Memorial Day everyone. As everyone probably already knows, yesterday the California Music Awards were held. Once again, our guys took home awards. + Updates, updates. Alrighty, so we finally found ourselves a sufficient tabber. Fellow fans of Green Day, welcome Mike, the new and improved GDA Tabber. Secondly, I updated Didja Know? so take a peak at that. The CMA's are tonight so keep your fingers crossed for GD to win. And finally, The GDA Fanlist has been deleted. Fucking Hotmail deleted the account 'cause it hasn't been used for 30 days. But, don't fret. So, I'm going to take the *Webmaster* position until she gets back on track. She's still gonna cover some updates when she gets the time, so she's the Co/Head Webmaster. And Ralph. Well, our tabber Ralph has been fired. We are lacking in tabs so I'm gonna try to put up a few but we need a tabber. Also, if ANYONE out there wants to make GDA a flash intro, it would be awesome. + Hey guys. First off, I want to personally say Happy Birthday to my favorite bassist, Mike. Then I want to say that Fan of the Week was updated. So what's a major change? I've decided to make Matt a head webmaster and get a new co webmaster. I was toying with the idea of letting this site go, because I don't have any time for it. With school, guitar lessons, my own business, and work, and also someone new in my life, I simply don't have the time this site needs. But then I decided not to let the site go, because I would be ruining the entire reason why I made GDA in the first place.......because I was pissed off that all the other GD sites were closing. So thank God, Matt said he could be a head webmaster and take some of the responsibity that I have had. I'm not quite sure when the new co-webmaster will come on, but hopefully it'll be soon.

+ Hey. Sorry I haven't updated for a while. There's not much new Green Day news to fill this website with so it's not our fault if the news isn't really active. Anyway, MTV Latin America is holding a top 20 hits of all time poll, so be sure to vote Green Day Basket Case here.. That's about it for recent Green Day news. I updated my webcam if anyone wants to check that out. Oh, I got Pogo Paradise also. It's good, it's really good. It got pretty shitty reviews but I watched it, many times, and It gives in-depth history on the band, and some extreme earlier footage of them. Some might not find this as a great accomplishment to get Pogo Paradise, but considering I live in New York, and it only came out in the U.K, I feel special. Oh yeah, it's April 20th today (4.20.03) so happy smoking day to all you smokers out there. Go get high or something. Anyway, hopefully there will be more GD news soon so keep checkin' back.

Where Does a punk band go when they've realeased a mellower, quasi-acoustic album, a Greatest Hits package and a collection of B-sides? If you're Green Day, it's back to doing what they do best - recording an album of fine punk tunes. "I feel like the last record ("Warning") is so complete that to try to take over where that one left off would be kind of futile," says bassist, Mike Dirnt. "Right now we're at a really exciting, creatve place in our life, so I think that we've had a nice break from making hard and fast music has made us want to do it again. What once was old is now new again."
If that wasn't enough, Green Day have also been working with Iggy Pop on his new album - they appear on three tracks on the Igster's forthcoming upus, due later this year.

+ Hey guys. In this month's issue of Guitar World, they have an article called '60 Minutes: The Hour of Music that Rocks My World' in which Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 talks about his favorite songs. Well he picked Basketcase by Green Day and here's what he had to say: "Green Day are the most essential and important punk band to come along in a long time. They've influenced so many new bands, including us. I was watching TV very late one night when this video came on. It had what I call the 'Holy Shit!' factor: by the end of the video I'd become an instant fan, and have been one ever since. It had nothing to do with being a great 'punk' band; I was about 13 and didn't even know about all that. They just had a great attitude -- they were defiant, but with a sense of humor. And musically they had great melodies and lyrics, more than most punk bands, and their dynamics went beyond the usual three-chord punk thing." Guitar World also mentions Green Day in an article entitled "How to Play Punk Rock". Here are the results of the last poll we had that went on forever.

+ Hey guys. Sorry I've been MIA for awhile, but yes, I'm still alive (unfortunatly). I've been busy with finals and the semester of school ending last week that I just wanted to get a break. So this weekend hopefully I'll be updating with all that crap that accumulated in my mailboxes. I also forgot to do Fan of the Week last week, but definitly get here on Sunday to see the new FOW. Also I just wanted to let you guys know that I had NOTHING to do with the Avril prank! That was allllll Matt. I came on here and saw the Avril banner and I freaked because I thought I had a hacker. :p So send all the hate mails to Matt. haha.
