+ Hey everyone. Sorry it's been a week, I've been very very busy. Anyway, this is from the 1/20 issue of People Magazine:
"Billie Joe Armstrong, 30, the lead singer of punk band Green Day,
was arrested on suspicion of DUI on Jan. 5. in Berkeley, Calif.,
after police stopped him for speeding. Armstrong, who posted $12,000
bail, is due in court on Feb. 4. A rep. for the singer had no
comment."
+ Poor Billie Joe. But he should know better. So if he gets a fine he deserves it, because he could have killed himself or others. Anyway. I accidentally screwed up the The Fan List. So what I did was deleted all the info (it needed it anyway, it was about 2 years old!), and so everyone who wants to be on the new list will have to submit again. I changed some of the information for it as well. Fan of the Week has been updated, so that guy who always bitches at me on my Tagboard for not updating can shut the fuck up this week. Some Autographs and Fan Art were also added this weekend. Have fun. I have homework to do. +

+ Hey everyone. Not much new here. I added 2 new Green Day audio files. They are covers of When I Come Around and Basketcase..but with a twist. Thanks to the fine Duke Pitchfork A Capella team at Duke University, we now can enjoy 2 new songs written and recorded by Green Day, but now covered with just voices. Check them out here and here. Also, I ask all of you out there for a personal favor. There's this site that will give you points if people click on one of their links. So, all I ask of you, is to cilck this link. Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong was arrested early Sunday in Berkeley, California, for driving under the influence.
The punk-rocker was pulled over just before 1 a.m. after authorities spotted his black BMW convertible speeding, according to Berkeley Police spokesperson Mary Kusmiss.
After Armstrong failed sobriety and Breathalyzer tests, he was taken to jail and booked for misdemeanor drunk driving. He was released later that morning on $1,200 bail and will be arraigned later this month.
Kusmiss said the 30-year-old singer was "very cooperative" and did not inform authorities of his celebrity.

+ I'm sorry guys, the last couple of days just SUCKED for me. We just got our cable back about an hour ago. Our power went out (due to a huge snowstorm) at 12 PM on Wednesday, and we didn't get it back till Saturday at about 4:30 PM. Also our phones and cable were out until today. The object of me telling you this is to ask you to please bear with me while I answer all your emails and get back up to date. To your right you will see an article for this month's (February '03) issue of Alternative Press. Green Day was inducted into the AP Hall of Fame by the readers. Thank you everyone for voting from them. BTW, the Courtney Smith in the article is NOT me, but just a person of the same name. I'm from Lehighton, PA, not Canton, MI. + Hey, sorry I haven't updated in a while. Courtney is having power problems due to all the snow on Christmas...13 inches! Check out Billie Joe's new audio message in remembrance of Joe Strummer from The Clash who unfortunately died recently. He was 50. On another note, WE WON THE 2002 XFS Challenge. Anywho, I plan to edit Band Of The Month soon so send in your suggestions! +
+ So, we're finally settled back on our old server (I know, I can't make up my mind). Everything should be fully functional now, and I believe I have taken care of something contributing the bandwidth problem. + This information from the recent issue of Kerrang is from Green Day > UK :
"Green Day have started work on their first studio album since 2000's 'Warning'. According to frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, the Berkeley trio aren't feeling any pressure to replicate their past success. Says Armstrong "I have a theory that when you get one of there records that sells, like, 10 million, theres only two million people that are paying attention. I'd rather sell 10 CDs and have 10 people getting it and paying attention." We're sure the bands record label feel the same way."
+ Word is, the album will be out in March of 2003, but don't quote me on that. There is also an article in the December 7 issue of Kerrang. Read it here. I don't know if we'll experience any downtime, but hopefully not because I still have the old server up. The last downtime a few days ago was because we ran out of bandwidth, AGAIN. + Hey everyone. I updated a few things today. And I wanted to let you know that the Ramones Tribute Album (Green Day is on it) was pushed back again to February 11, 2003. Fun fun. Anyway, I added like 62 fans to The Fan List, also Didja Know?, links, Quotes, and the graphics were changed on Personality Quiz. Look for more updates tomorrow. +
+ If you got the GDA Newsletter, and you read it, you know why the site was down yesterday. The reason was that GDA ran out of bandwidth (GB Transfer). So now guess what? + It's been awhile since I've updated. Well to me it has, I don't know if it has been awhile for you. Maybe you've missed me.....or something. Anywho, I got
a new guitar for Christmas, everyone look at it (on the right). Yay. Onward with Green Day stuff. There are 3 new articles I should you about, even though you probably saw them on GreenDay.net. They are @ Virgin Mega, NME, and LAUNCH.
